Villages at Cabrillo Transit Center

The Century Villages at Cabrillo (CVC) is a 27-acre affordable housing community tucked behind an industrial park in West Long Beach with limited access for residents to access the rest of the city.

City Fabrick collaborated with the CVC and Long Beach Transit to extend bus service directly onto campus and develop a new transit center central to the community. The transit stop provides an improved layover bus stop with rest facilities for bus drivers. The transit center has multiple options for seating and shade, as well as secure bicycle parking and real-time transit service information. The mobility hub provides a proper welcome for transit riders while offering a pleasant place for riders to wait for their next ride. City Fabrick also provided assistance pursuing grant funding and developed the schematic landscape design for the project, which opened with extended bus service in 2018.
