A two month Long program that temporarily activated vacant lots with local artists to link arts and culture into local neighborhoods throughout Long Beach. 


This two month-long arts program linked the world of arts and culture with local neighborhoods by temporarily activating vacant lots with a variety of free art installations and performances. Programmed by the Arts Council for Long Beach and funded with a National Endowment for the Arts grant, the A [LOT] initiative brought together dozens of community artists to engage with residents of the North, Central, and Downtown areas of Long Beach.  City Fabrick developed a visual brand identity and multimedia platform for the initiative and assisted with outreach and communications, which included the design and development of a mobile device friendly website, interactive site banners, ‘guerilla’ style street postings, event posters, unique 3D ‘tentacular’ postcard, as well as traditional print and digital advertisements for local newspapers and media outlets.
