ROLE

I have lived in the neighborhood for decades and had not noticed the building until construction began. It is really becoming something that will contribute to the unique architectural character of our community.
— Neighbor Passing By

The project converts a long shuttered convalescence facility into a creative office space that bridges a commercial corridor and historic Long Beach neighborhood. The uniquely detailed concrete blocks walls and vintage metal windows were restored while the façade and protruding second floor element were updated with warmer, contemporary material. A service yard and residual yard areas are being transformed into outdoor amenities for the tenants while secure bicycle lockers and vehicle parking were added along the alley. City Fabrick provided building and landscape design services to project, which is to be completed in the Fall of 2017.
