The California Endowment, City of Long Beach
A two month Long program that temporarily activated vacant lots with local artists to link arts and culture into local neighborhoods throughout Long Beach.
This open space campaign would create one of the largest park in Greater Long Beach region while relocating some of the most impactful freight transportation away from the West Long Beach community by repurposing redundant and under-utilized infrastructure. This plan incorporates significant investment proposed for the area to reduce land-use conflicts and transportation impacts from nearby goods movement infrastructure and industrial uses while creating substantial public benefit. City Fabrick developed the concept and is working with local stakeholders and government agencies to codify and implement portions of the plan.
