ROLE
Collaborator

I think that the City should always be looking to develop stronger partnerships and collaborate. Public private partnerships have proven successful and I am 100% on board as I think that this is the way we have to go.
— COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION REPRESENTATIVE

The City of Avalon Park Master Plan is an appendix to the Open Space Element of the Avalon General Plan, specifically identifying opportunities for developing new publicly accessible open spaces and amenities, and improvements to the existing park and recreation network. As a built-out community with limited opportunities for developing traditional parks on available vacant parcels, the plan focuses on creating new community spaces and amenities through adaptive reuse, joint-use, reimagining redundant and underutilization infrastructure.

City Fabrick worked with the City of Avalon Community Services Department to engage a broad range of residents and stakeholders in a robust discussion about the challenges and opportunities for improving and expanding upon the existing open space and amenity network. The plan was adopted in the fall of 2018, City Fabrick designed the public engagement process and authored the planning document.
